My name is Jökull Helgi Sigurðsson. Im 23 years old and come from Iceland. I study in the Icelantic Academy of the Arts in Reykjavik, and I’m on to my second year. I mostly paint pictures of the things around me, things I hear and see, and the souls of my friends. I make my art with a sense of vertigo, and a style of abstraction which only to an extent allows subject to come into form; because I find that permanence, in itself, is temporary. Gradually, through art, I am expanding my perspective of the world.
